Christopher family relish country lifestyle

The opportunity to build their dream home to feature breathtaking views of the Adelaide Hills enticed Christopher and Deisi Christopher to purchase in Blackwood Park.
Three months after moving in to their park-front home with children Sajith and Joanne, Deisi says the family are thrilled with their new home and lifestyle in Blackwood Park. Having access to a spacious, green reserve right on their doorstep has been a particular highlight of the Christopher’s time in Blackwood Park so far.

“The kids love being able to walk out of the gate from our home to play in the park,” Deisi enthuses. “We’ll quite often go to the reserve for a walk. It is a very pleasant place to spend time as a family or on our own, whether reading a book or just collecting our thoughts.”

The Christopher’s moved from Flagstaff Hill and built with Alan Sheppard Constructions. Deisi says the family enjoyed a terrific relationship with the builder in ensuring that the home had a ‘personal touch’, which was important to the family after previously living in a rental.
“Our home is a corner allotment, so it is quite spacious and has a lot of natural light. We’re very fortunate to have amazing views from our bedroom window. It is just lovely to see unspoilt views of the hills every morning when we wake up,” Deisi says.

“It’s fantastic – we really feel as though we are living in a holiday home!”

The Christopher’s double storey, three-bedroom home also features an attractive alfresco area, which Deisi says is ideal for barbecues and meals outside.  The family have settled in to their new neighbourhood and are enjoying the ‘country feel’ that Blackwood Park provides.
“The area has a country feel while being very accessible to the city,” Deisi says.

“Our new neighbours are very pleasant and easygoing. It’s a very well-balanced residential area; not too quiet but not too crowded.
“It’s a beautiful area which has a real community atmosphere. We feel very safe here.”
