MACDONALDS LIVE THE BLACKWOOD PARK DREAM

Settling in Adelaide from the United Kingdom, Becky and Lee MacDonald sought to build their dream home in an area that ‘ticked all the boxes’.

“Being from the Lake District in the UK, I have always been a bit of a country girl. Lee and I like going for walks and being outdoors,” Becky explains.

“We wanted to live somewhere with a country feel that wasn’t too far away from the city.”

“With this in mind, our Metricon Sales Consultant, Shane, recommended that we take a look at Blackwood Park, and it was perfect!”

Currently renting at Northgate while the couple are building, Lee and Becky hope to have their spacious Blackwood Park home complete by Christmas.

“Our two-storey home will be well equipped for entertaining and includes a swimming pool, spa, outdoor entertaining and barbecue area, formal family living room, large open plan kitchen and butler’s pantry,” Lee says.

“There are four bedrooms upstairs and our main bedroom has an ensuite, as well as a balcony which overlooks a scenic reserve, playground and picnic area. It’s going to be a great view to wake up to.

“Our working relationship with Metricon has been terrific too. Nothing has been too much trouble.”

Becky says they have been getting acquainted with their new area, and are looking forward to making use of the nearby walking trails in the Sturt Gorge Recreation Park.

“The walking trails near our home are just beautiful. It’s such a pretty landscape that makes you feel like you’re in the heart of the country, but the city is just 20 minutes away.

“We’ve met some of our neighbours, and they’ve all been very friendly. It’s a very warm and welcoming area.”

Lee says that Blackwood Park has exceeded the couple’s expectations.

“We would never have even dreamed of affording to build a home like this surrounded by so much wide open spaces in the UK. At Blackwood Park, we’ll definitely be living the dream.”
