Blackwood Park has officially opened its new Central Park playground, featuring what is believed to be the longest tube slide in Adelaide.
Free ice creams were handed out to mark the opening of Central Park, with many local families on hand to try out the new facilities. In addition to the 16 metre long slippery dip, the Central Park playground features a climbing wall and jungle gym equipment that will allow children to hold their own adventure races through the park. Smaller children can enjoy their own area, which includes swings, a see-saw, spinner and more.
Mums and dads can relax on the lawns or make the most of the picnic shelter, which itself offers one of the best views across Blackwood Park and surrounding bushland. And look out for the stunning skink sculpture, which will no doubt become a landmark feature and meeting place for the area.
