DRAMA AT BLACKWOOD PARK

As far as unusual requests go, being asked to host a school drama production in the Blackwood Park Sales and Information Centre is right up there. But that’s exactly the approach received from St John’s Grammar School at Belair, which was looking for a suitable location for its Group Production of Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler.

Drama teacher Karen Inwood says she struck upon the idea of presenting the performance within a display home at night, and was delighted when Blackwood Park offered its sales centre as the venue.

“It has proved to be the perfect modern venue with its enormous island bench and light, airy space.  We are thrilled and feel very privileged to be able to use the space,” Karen says.
