ROOS CALL BLACKWOOD PARK HOME
Autumn 2015As Blackwood Park residential building continues at pace, the extra activity doesn’t seem to be worrying the “locals”.
Residents exploring some of the new walking trails in the Sturt Gorge Recreation Park adjacent Blackwood Park have reported regular sightings of kangaroos and koalas. In fact the tree-lined gully to the south of Node 2 is home to a mob of about 30 kangaroos, including some young joeys. Protection of these natural ecological corridors throughout the estate is what makes Blackwood Park so unique, with nature literally at your doorstep.
The development of Blackwood Park has created opportunities for more walking and cycling trails, while ensuring that the native fauna and flora can continue to thrive.
